Best Educational Programs: OPERATION OF TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNOLOGICAL MACHINES AND COMPLEXES

Programme presentation. The Programme trains specialists in “Servicing of Road and Building Machinery and Equipment”. The Programme reflects multifunctional character of graduates’ production activity; it includes humanitarian, social and economic, natural science, engineering and technical and general professional educational disciplines. The most important disciplines are “Design and Service Characteristics of Transportation and Technological Machines”, “Basics of Manufacturing Process and Service of Transportation and Technological Machines” and others. The Faculty uses contemporary computers and licensed software.

The study process includes lectures, seminars, laboratory and practical classes, business games, course projects, compulsory study and working practice in Russia and abroad. Students have the possibility to undertake externship at the joint Russian-British company JSC “LonMADI”.

Teaching staff. Training is performed by highly-qualified teaching stuff, which includes winners of state prizes, honoured workers of science of the Russian Federation, Doctors and Candidates of Technical Sciences. The Faculty is headed by V. A. Zorin – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honoured Worker of Science of the Russian Federation, academician of the Academy of Quality Problems.

Competitiveness of students. The Programme’s graduates are granted bachelor’s degree in service and technical support of transport and technological machinery and equipment. They are employed by authorized service companies, reliability departments of engineering companies, servicing stations, design and technology, research and academic institutions (public or private), including companies with foreign investments. Graduates are also employed in foreign servicing companies of road-building and weight-handling engineering industry.

Interaction with employers. The Faculty actively cooperates with professional associations of employers (“Engineering Workers’ Guild”, “Road users’ Society of Russia”, “Association of airports”), state companies (“Rosavtodor”, “StroyTransGaz and other”), numerous major companies of building mechanization: “ARKS”, “Dormost”, “CentrAvtoMagistral” and others.
