Awards and achievements. Certificate of Professional-Public Accreditation, Gazprom Center for Planning and Use of Labor Resources, 07.25.2018. In 2016-2019, the program was recognized as the best educational program of innovative Russia.
Teaching staff. The educational process is carried out by one Professor, 11 Associate Professors. Professionals in the oil and gas processing field are involved in teaching as well.
Facilities and resources. The laboratories of the Department are located at the Center for Advanced Research and Innovative Developments, namely — the laboratory and production complex "Tekhnopolis," which is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment for educational and research activity. Partner companies were involved in the modernization of the laboratory equipment and creating a laboratory of processes and devices of oil and gas processing (RN-Yuganskneftegaz), laboratory of oil refining and petrochemical products (SIBUR Holding).
Research. Active work with students in the following promising directions: development of the de-paraffinization process of petroleum products in electric fields, modeling of the formation and inhibition process of asphalt-resin-paraffin deposits during oil production and transportation, development and selection of effective chemical reagents, improvement of low-temperature properties of paraffin oil products, the effect of the target fraction extraction depth on the indicators of the rectification process.
Education. The educational program is aimed at obtaining competencies in the field of methods and means of obtaining substances and materials using physical, physico-chemical and chemical processes, manufacturing of various products based on them, as well as creation, introduction and operation of basic organic synthesis products, products of oil, gas and solid fuel processing. The educational process is carried out with the help of newest teaching methods (dialogue lecture, discussion during solving practical tasks, business games, project method). The graduates are trained to work at petrochemical and oil and gas processing companies, as well as research and project institutes (laboratories).
