Teaching staff. The educational process is implemented by 12 departments that employ over 30 teachers, 80% of whom have academic degrees of Doctors and Candidates of Sciences. Training is provided in nine Master's programs. The degree-granting departments are the Department of Technology of Dosage Forms, the Department of Industrial Technology of Medicinal Products, the Department of Chemical Engineering of Medicinal Substances, the Department of Chemical Engineering Processes and Devices, and the Department of Economics and Management.
Facilities and resources. When doing practical training, students actively use state-of-the-art laboratory analytical and process equipment as well as the GMP training center equipped with state-of-the-art devices necessary for producing various dosage forms.
Research. As part of the Master's program the teachers conduct research in the field of pharmaceutical development of innovative dosage forms and application of additive technologies when manufacturing modern medicinal products, synthesis, modification and scaling of Russian medicinal substances, design and optimization of operating modes of process and pharmaceutical equipment as well as marketing research of the pharmaceutical market including an analysis of behavior of prices for medicinal products.
Education. The teachers use the state-of-the-art learning process management systems (control of students' independent work and current control of their knowledge). New materials are updated and added taking into account the changes in steering documents.
Strategic partners. The university cooperates with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies such as BIOCAD, Pfizer, Vertex, Geropharm, Novartis Neva, Pharmproject, Solopharm (Grotex), Samson-Med, Rosbio, Active Component, Pharmsynthez, R-Pharm (Yaroslavl).
International projects and programs. As part of the Finnish-Russian Student and Teacher Exchange Program – FIRST) Master students undertake their study placement and internship at the University of Turku and Abo Academi University. Several Master students undertook international work placement provided at the Pfizer company on the territory of the USA (at the Department of Project Management and the Department of Pharmaceutical Development). Students can attend educational modules (lectures, hands-on classes, master classes) offered by Russian and international companies' specialists.
Competitive advantages. This program is a unique training program for specialists of the pharmaceutical industry. Graduates are always in great demand on the labor market.
