Awards and achievements. Professional-public accreditation certificate of December 11, 2017, the Association of Geological Organizations.
Teaching staff of the Department of Geodesy and Cadastral Activity consists of 16 Candidates of Sciences, two Doctors of Sciences, and one senior research fellow.
Facilities and resources include the devices necessary for academic activities: GNSS receivers, total stations, levelers, theodolites. The laboratory "Automation of cadastral works" is equipped with modern PCs with modern software (MapInfo Professional, AutoCAD).
Research. Efficient management of land resources of protected areas in the Ural Federal District. Scientific foundation for creating a regional system for monitoring and managing the development of urbanized territories (on the example of a complexly built subject of the Russian Federation – the Tyumen Region).
Education. Teachers use technologies of practical modular training and creating individual learning paths.
Strategic partners. The university cooperates with local self-government bodies of the Tyumen Region, public cadastral authorities, land and property relations and urban planning authorities.
International projects and programs. Close cooperation with foreign partners, participation in roundtable discussions, workshops, joint conferences.
Competitive advantages. Cooperation of the authorities, private business representatives and scientific community represented by the Department. The high level of qualification and several years of experience makes the Department the leader in training specialists in Land Planning and Cadastres in Tyumen Region. Graduates are employed by state and non-state companies that organize, plan and execute real estate cadastre works (civil engineering, oil and gas industry, etc.), the Land Cadastre Chamber, territorial departments of the Department of the Russian State Register, state authorities for land management and architecture, production organizations, licensed for executing land cadastral works, production and technological organizations using specialized geoinformation systems, automated systems for maintaining the real estate cadastre, geodetic instruments and tools.
