Achievements. The grant in fundamental theory, methods and algorithms of coordinate-time and navigation support. Execution of works according to the design specification of JSC Russian Space Systems.

Teaching staff. The program is delivered by over 100 teachers, over 15% of whom have an academic degree of Doctor of Sciences.

Facilities and resources. State-of-the-art laboratories of unmanned aerophotographic complexes, relativistic geodesy, thematic mapping, satellite Earth monitoring.

Research. SSUGT has four research institutes, 17 scientific schools, and over 40 research and research and education laboratories and centers. As part of the program, the institute conducts research in geodynamics, as well as design, mathematical treatment and interpretation of complex geodetic and gravimetric observations.

Education. The institute offers practice-oriented training and project activities. Students participate in scientific projects as part of grants and targeted programs.

International projects and programs. Students and young researchers participate in the International seminar GEOMIR. The university is a member of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) and the International Association of Geodesy FIG.

Graduates can work at organizations and institutions specializing in aerophotography, topography and geodesy, cartography, land surveying, mine surveying (aerogeodetic and geodetic enterprises and organizations, design and survey contractors, land surveying organizations, construction organizations, mineral exploration and extraction enterprises, etc.) in the Siberian Federal District, East Siberia, Far East, the Crimea, Sochi, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, at industry research centers, RAS Institutes, Russian universities.
