Accreditation. State accreditation. International public accreditation.
Awards and achievements. The program has been ranked among the best educational programs of innovative Russia since 2011. The projects in the field of biotechnology, advanced materials, and medicine of the future are implemented as part of the UMNIK and START grant competitions. The university created Russia’s first collection of genetic vectors to deliver them to cells. Since 2017, 100% of graduates have successfully undergone primary accreditation.
Teaching staff. The program is delivered by 15 departments and around 300 teachers, Professors, Corresponding Members of the RAS, Honored Workers of Higher Education of the RF, Honored Doctors of the RF, and Science Workers of the RF. More than 30% of them are Doctors of Sciences. More than 80 teachers have state awards, certificates of appreciation, and letters of acknowledgment from various government agencies.
Learning outcomes. According to the student’s individual learning path, practice-oriented training and project-based learning are provided. If the program is delivered jointly and taught using the mediator language, international students must undergo in-depth language training. Students have the opportunity to master continuing education programs, honors programs, and supplementary joint programs delivered with partner universities. Students can participate in research, Olympiads, competitions, and conferences.

Methods of simulation training and assessing the effectiveness of future doctors’ communication skills. Online platforms for distance and independent learning. As part of the Digital Department, students have the opportunity to develop their digital competencies.
Research. The Ural scientific schools of Professors A. Lidsky, B. Kushelevsky, D. Shefer are well-known in Russia and abroad. The university develops over 50 research areas with a high level of originality in research (regenerative medicine, cancer immunology, targeted therapy, vaccine therapy, social and medical prophylaxis and immunological monitoring of breast cancer, tick-born encephalitis treatment, etc.).
Competitive advantages. Traditionally, the most motivated and the brightest students apply to the Faculty of Preventive Medicine. In 2023, the Faculty of Preventive Medicine enrolled six young people, who had scored 100 points in their Unified State Exams, and seven prize-winners and winners of all-Russian Olympiads. Students take an active part in federal youth programs, social events, and sports projects. Education and research are conducted not only at the educational buildings but also at the major federal medical research institutes and multidisciplinary healthcare organizations.
Career prospects and employment. More than 90% of graduates are employed. The employers are major healthcare organizations in the region and Russia. Students can combine their studies and work as mid-level health professionals, starting from the fourth year of study. Graduates can participate in specialized PhD programs in some subspecialties.
