Pediatrics
Accreditation. In 2018, the educational program 31.05.02 Pediatrics successfully underwent international public accreditation and confirmed its compliance with the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area ESG – ENQA.
Awards and achievements. The program has been ranked among the best educational programs of innovative Russia since 2014. In 2020, the academic staff co-authored the national guideline General Medical Practice, the clinical practice guideline Community-acquired Pneumonia in Children, the clinical guidelines on pediatric endocrinology and tuberculosis in children; in 2018 and 2021 – the national program “Vitamin D Deficiency in Children and Adolescents in the Russian Federation: Modern Approaches to Correction.” Since 2018, the Zverev Readings winter student school has been included in the plan of the most important educational activities at the educational organizations under the authority of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
Teaching staff. At the Faculty of Pediatrics, the programs are delivered by highly qualified teachers, including one RAS Academician, one RAS Corresponding Member, two Honored Science Workers of the RF, two Honored Workers of Higher Education of the RF, one Honored Healthcare Worker of the RF; 21% of the teaching staff are Doctors of Sciences.
Learning outcomes. The program develops a set of professional competencies of a pediatrician for successful medical, organizational and managerial, and research activities.
Facilities and resources. The multidisciplinary accreditation and simulation center, the digital learning environment.
Research. Research is conducted in the field of personalized medicine tasks - the development of methods of prevention, treatment, and prognosis of outcomes and rehabilitation of childhood and adolescence diseases.
Competitive advantages. The Digital Department project provides an additional qualification in information technology. Students undertake internships at multidisciplinary medical and preventive treatment institutions with modern medical infrastructure. Specialists are trained as part of the network programs (Uzbekistan). The faculty developed a system of feedback from external stakeholders such as medical and preventive treatment institutions and strategic and industrial partners.
Career prospects and employment. After graduation, 98% of graduates find a job in their degree field and have the opportunity to improve their professional pediatrician competencies in the workplace.
