Preventive Medicine
Accreditation. State accreditation (Certificate № 2943 of November 14, 2018). Professional-public accreditation (the Medical League, Certificate № 016/23 of January 23, 2023).
Awards and achievements. In 2023, the students became bronze medalists of the 22nd Youth Delphic Games “Epidemiology and Bioinformatics” and winners of all-Russian conferences with international participation.
Teaching staff. 67.4% of the teaching staff hold academic degrees. Practitioners are also engaged in the teaching process.
Learning outcomes. Students learn how to use the strategies of sanitation and disease prevention, provide preventive health care, and create a favorable environment for health preservation.
Facilities and resources. The state-of-the-art facilities and resources include multifunctional devices for measurements in ventilation systems, analyzers, meteorological meters, microscopes, spectrophotometers, etc., the Internet center, a computer room of the research library with Internet access. Students are provided with study materials and access to the Student’s Consultant electronic library system and individual access to the electronic educational portal.
Research. The departments have student science clubs. The research area is comprehensive evaluation of the influence of the living environment and labor conditions on public health: hygienic evaluation of population health risk of chemical substances contained in surface watercourses of rural agro-industrial areas of the Saratov Region; hygienic aspects of labor conditions and their influence on the health of women engaged in present-day production of paper wallpaper; prediction of infantile cerebral paralysis (ICP) development taking into account anthropogenic factors of atmospheric air pollution.

Career prospects and employment. Graduates are employed according to the approved career guidance event program agreed upon with the Ministries of Health of the Saratov, Penza, Voronezh, Bryansk, Moscow, Ulyanovsk Regions, and other regions. In 2023, all graduates were sent to their places of employment.
