Nursing Care
Accreditation. State accreditation (Certificate № 2943 of November 14, 2018). Professional-public accreditation (the Medical League, Certificate № 016/23 of January 23, 2023).
Awards and achievements. Since 2019, the program has been recognized as one of the best educational programs of innovative Russia. Students are the winners of the All-Russian Professional Skill Competition and contests held as part of international research and practice conferences and prize-winners of inter-university Olympiads.
Teaching staff. Training is provided at 27 departments in 51 disciplines, with five educational internships and six work placements. Students are trained by 75 teachers, including 58 Candidates or Doctors of Sciences (77%) and eight employees from among heads and employees of specialized enterprises and organizations.
Learning outcomes. Students learn how to deliver medical care and take measures to prevent diseases in children and adults. Graduates are ready to carry out teaching activities at specialized educational organizations.
Facilities and resources include laboratory equipment, computer classrooms of the departments, the SSMU Internet center, a computer hall of the SSMU research library with internet access. All students are provided with study materials and access to the Student’s Consultant electronic library system and individual access to the SSMU electronic educational portal.
Research. The key areas are improvement of nursing care specialists’ activity as one of the areas of healthcare development in the Russian Federation; health protection practices of mid-level health providers in high-risk wards.
Competitive advantages. The program complies with the international training standard for mid-level health providers. Students have the opportunity to carry out teaching and research activities.
Career prospects and employment. After graduation, graduates can carry out medical activities as mid-level health professionals at healthcare organizations. The university offers the opportunity to continue education by pursuing the Master’s program in Nursing Care Management to build a professional career in nursing staff management.
