Psychological and Pedagogical Education
Accreditation. State accreditation.
Awards and achievements. In 2023, the program was recognized as one of the best educational programs of innovative Russia. Master’s students are prize-winners and laureates of all-Russian research and creative contests.
Teaching staff. Training is provided by 34 academic staff members, including six Doctors of Sciences and 24 Candidates of Sciences. The teaching staff includes Honored Workers of Higher Education, research workers, and educational psychologists from pre-school organizations and comprehensive schools in Moscow and the Moscow Region.
Learning outcomes. Students learn how to make a timely psychological and pedagogical diagnosis and carry out psychological, educational and prevention activities for the whole school community and correctional and developmental work with children to create and maintain a psychologically safe and comfortable learning environment where students will successfully master the educational program and the teaching activities will be effective.
Facilities and resources. Specialized classrooms, a laboratory of psychodiagnostics, a laboratory of psychological and pedagogical diagnostics, and a sand simulation room.
Research. The university has a student scientific society and science clubs. Students conduct research in psychological laboratories using modern diagnostic tools, a polygraph, Eyetracker, and Cardiocode. The research findings are published in articles and discussed at conferences at different levels.
Competitive advantages. The program content was determined based on the analysis of requirements imposed on educational psychologists by the employers, the Federal State Education Standards of Higher Education and the professional standard, Russian and foreign best practices adopted with the participation of leading experts in psychological and pedagogical education.
Career prospects and employment. Graduates are employed by municipal and private educational organizations, development centers, children and family outreach centers, and continuing education organizations.
