Accreditation. In 2022, the program underwent professional-public accreditation for compliance with the job market requirements and the professional standard 06.009 Media Content Promotion and Distribution Specialist.

Awards and achievements. In 2023, the program was recognized as one of the best educational programs of innovative Russia. Our students are laureates of the Crystal Arrow All-Russian Contest of Student Periodicals and Young Journalists, the Lemon International Advertising Festival, the Digital Praktika International Inter-university Contest, and the Crystal Orange All-Russian Contest of Student Projects in Public Relations, Advertising and Media Technologies.

Teaching staff. The program is delivered by the Department of Advertising and Public Relations that employs highly qualified teachers, including Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors, specialists, and employers’ representatives. The institute’s teaching staff takes an active part in research.

Learning outcomes. The program graduates create brands, public image, reputation, help stand out among competitors, prevent from “drowning” during a crisis, organize advertising and PR support for the entry of new products into the market.

Facilities and resources. Specialized classrooms fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, computer classrooms, and a laboratory of media and business communications.

Research. Students are members of student science clubs, participate in the department’s research projects and specialized conferences and contests.

Competitive advantages. Active teaching methods are used, such as workshops, master classes with practitioners, tours, and field trips. The Laboratory of Media and Business Communications also provides practical training and creates photo-, video- and movie content, and information and media texts for the university’s internet resources. Students majoring in Advertising and Public Relations get an additional qualification, learning how to work with the automated system of media and social media monitoring and analysis. The developer of the system — the Medialogia company — provides access to it. After completing their studies, students take a test and obtain Expert or Guru specialist certificates in the field of media monitoring and analysis.

Career prospects and employment. The employers’ representatives and heads of departments of advertising and PR agencies give classes and master classes and provide work placements for students and internships for graduates. After successful completion of work placements and internships, students get a job offer.
