Awards and achievements. In 2023, the program was recognized as one of the best educational programs of innovative Russia.
The students are the winners of the annual professional skill competition in social work held at the RosNOU Humanities Institute in the academic year 2023-2024 in four categories:
- best practices in care for senior citizens and disabled people;
- best practices in integrated support for families with children from deprived backgrounds;
- best practices of guardianship and wardship authorities to support substitute families;
- best practices in the state and municipal management system.
Teaching staff. The program is delivered by the Department of Pedagogical Education that employs highly qualified teachers, including Doctors of Sciences and Candidates of Sciences, Professors, Associate Professors who have great practical experience in this area.
Learning outcomes. Students learn how to effectively use modern social work technologies.
Facilities and resources. Specialized classrooms, state-of-the-art educational and research laboratories, and training workshops.
Research. The department has a student science club. Every year, around 30% of students conduct research and participate in publishing articles and speaking at conferences at different levels.
Competitive advantages. The program includes training of specialists who are ready to use best practices in public service and social innovations such as products, services, models, etc.
Career prospects and employment. The institute graduates work at state and municipal authorities; at employment offices; at social service institutions; at educational and healthcare institutions; at the subdivision of the Pension Fund and the Social Insurance Fund; at law enforcement agencies such as the armed forces, internal affairs agencies, and the penitentiary system); at social policy departments of manufacturing enterprises and commercial organizations; at non-governmental organizations such as charity funds, volunteer associations, and non-profit organizations); conduct research at research organizations.
