Accreditation. State accreditation. International accreditation (the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating IAAR).

Awards and achievements. The program has been recognized as the best educational program of Innovative Russia for several years.

Students are participants and winners of all-Russian and international chemistry contests, conferences and Olympiads. They get personal scholarships and increased scholarships for academic excellence.

Teaching staff. The five departments of dentistry employ 17 Professors, 21 Associate Professors and over 30 Assistants, Candidates of Medical Sciences. The academic degree holders ratio is 94%. The university develops academic staff mobility. Researchers from Russia, Belarus, Tajikistan, India, and Armenia are engaged in the teaching process.

Learning outcomes. Students learn how to efficiently and successfully complete job tasks in medical, organizational and managerial, and research activities in the Russian and international job markets based on the universal, general professional and professional competencies developed during the educational process at the university.

Facilities and resources include six theoretical buildings and more than 100 classrooms with state-of-the-art equipment. The university has implemented the project “SamSMU International Center for Digital Dentistry.”

Research.

• “Etiology, pathogenesis, epidemiology, aspects of clinical progression of dental diseases. Prevention, diagnosis, development of treatment and rehabilitation methods” (the work is conducted in cooperation with the Central Research Institute of Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery, Moscow);
• “Aspects of treatment and rehabilitation of dental patients affected by general somatic diseases” (the work is conducted in cooperation with Russian University of Medicine).

Competitive advantages. The practical training facilities are multidisciplinary preventive medicine organizations in the Samara Region. The university organizes educational internships and work placements for students in cooperation with Belarusian State Medical University, Tashkent State Medical University, Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, and Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University. SamSMU is one of 57 members of the Dentistry Research and Education Medical Cluster.

Career prospects and employment. The graduate employment rate is 96%. The university’s cooperation with the top medical organizations offers students the opportunities to find a job in their degree field and improve their professional skills. Companies such as ROCS, Dentsply Sirona, and Rokada-Med provide state-of-the-art equipment and expendable materials to be used in the educational process.
