Accreditation. State accreditation. Professional-public accreditation (the Union “Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Volgograd Region”).
Awards and achievements. Over the past seven years, the program has been listed among the best educational programs of innovative Russia. The students are winners of the All-Russian Contest for Youth of Educational and Scientific Organizations for the best paper “My Lawmaking Initiative” and winners of the International Internet Olympiad on Legal Studies.
Teaching staff. The faculty employs highly qualified teachers. Eighty-five percent of the academic staff hold academic degrees and academic titles. All the teachers take an active part in research and publish their research findings in the leading scientific journals and editions.
Learning outcomes. Students gain competencies required in all areas of law-enforcement activities, learning how to protect citizens’ rights, convict criminals, draw up various legal documents, speak in court, and provide legal advice.
Facilities and resources. Regularly updated reference legal systems such as Consultant Plus and Garant as well as electronic library systems including Znanium, Urait, etc. Specialized classrooms, a forensic laboratory, a moot court, a media hall, a gym and a fitness room.
Research. The faculty has a student research society and science clubs. The faculty holds the annual All-Russian student conference “Youth Forum: Legal Sciences” with publication of a collection of student research papers. The best student research papers are sent to all-Russian and international contests.
Competitive advantages. The program is practice-oriented. Legal practitioners are engaged in teaching. Students can work at the legal clinic “SUHSS Legal Protection Center.”
Career prospects and employment. More than 80% of graduates are employed in their area of specialization. Graduates of the program include federal judges, justices of the peace, investigation officers, public notaries, defense lawyers, prosecutor’s office staff, interior ministry members and legal counsels.
