Accreditation. State accreditation. Professional-public accreditation carried out by the Council for Professional Qualifications in Agribusiness.

Awards and achievements. Students are frequent winners of the Moscow Skilled Workers competition held under the patronage of the State Veterinary Service of Moscow in the categories of Best Future Veterinarian and Best Future Veterinary and Sanitary Inspector as well as in research paper contests at different levels. The academy implements grants from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, the Russian Science Foundation, the Federal Targeted Program, the Russian Government as well as sci-tech agreements. It participates in the International Veterinary Congress, the inter-university championship “Young Professionals” (WorldSkills Russia), the All-Russian Student Olympiad “I am a Professional,” and the regional Olympiad “I am from Scriabin Academy.”

Teaching staff. The program is delivered by three RAS Academicians, one RAS Corresponding Member, 43 Doctors of Sciences, 129 Candidates of Sciences, laureates of the Russian Government Award in Science and Technology, and representatives of the real sector of the economy.

Learning outcomes. The didactic approach is based on the use of both classical and modern techniques – interactive workshops, master classes, classes conducted on alternative humane models, solving clinical case studies using state-of-the-art digital equipment used for diagnostic testing and treatment of different kinds of animals. Training is provided with the participation of employers. It is representatives of partner organizations that help integrate a practice-oriented approach into the learning environment. The faculty established the specialized departments jointly with the Treatment and Diagnostic Veterinary Center of the Moscow Veterinary Academy and the Russian State Center for Animal Feed and Drug Standardization and Quality.

Facilities and resources. Microscopes, kymographs, centrifuges, DNA cabinets, PCR cabinets, amplifiers, transilluminators, hemiluminometers, ECG recorders, coagulators, ultrasonographs for animals, autoclaves, dry heat sterilizers, an endoscopy tower, a dental X-ray machine, and the resource center for veterinary medicine and animal science fitted with state-of-the-art equipment.

Research. State-of-the-art diagnosis, treatment and prevention of animal diseases, application of new tools and methods for analyzing functional parameters in animals, operative treatment techniques, pharmacorrection of organ and system dysfunctions, optimization of therapy measures in various diseases.

Competitive advantages. The academy boasts leading scientific schools for animal anatomy, pharmacology, parasitology, veterinary surgery, internal non-infectious diseases, unique diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, and highly qualified teachers.

Career prospects and employment. Graduates of the academy work at enterprises of agribusiness and processing industry, the private veterinary business community, research institutions, the state veterinary services of different constituent entities of the Russian Federation, zoos, and other animal housing and agricultural production facilities, veterinary laboratories, agencies of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision, security services, and companies that manufacture veterinary medicines, feeds, equipment and tools for animal breeding and veterinary medicine.
