Current position in rankings. The university is a laureate of the National contest “Best Higher Education Institutions of the Russian Federation – 2018.” It was awarded a gold medal and a laureate diploma of the All-Russian contest “100 Best Higher Education Institutions of Russia.”

Achievements and awards. The educational program underwent professional-public accreditation in 2015. It was the winner of the all-Russian project Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia in 2016-2018.

Teaching staff. The highly qualified staff includes two Doctors of Sciences, Professors, five Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors as well as leading specialists in the field of theory of probability and mathematical statistics, mathematical modeling and information technologies.

Facilities and resources. The university has well-developed facilities and resources including educational and research institutions, centers, design offices and laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art computers. Students have an opportunity to use the supercomputer.

Research. The main research areas include the following: basic training in mathematics, theoretical knowledge and practical skills of application of computer technologies in management of various human activities, methods and tools for modeling, analyzing and building software products aimed at solving problems of reliability, performance and safety of IT systems, etc.

Education. The teachers use state-of-the-art educational models and technologies: visualization lectures, round tables, discussions, brainstorming, designing, games, simulation exercises, case study.

Strategic partners. The university maintains business relationships with enterprises and organizations of various sectors of national economy, research institutes as well as leading universities such as Belgorod State University, the International Innovative University (Sochi), Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, and others.

International projects and programs. The teachers and students participate in research grant competitions and research and development projects for young researchers. They annually win prestigious awards for their research in international contests such as the Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies “Archimedes,” in the UMNIK program, etc.
