Accreditation. State accreditation certificate: series 90А01 № 0003155, Reg. № 3001 valid till February 27, 2025. Professional-public accreditation of the educational program, the Geodesy major. Certificate Reg. № ОАС CCT/21/69, August 17, 2021.

Admission requirements for foreign citizens. International applicants apply on equal terms with Russian citizens.

Education. Students undergo practice-oriented training, implement projects and undertake work placements and professional internships at enterprises. The electronic information educational environment provides high-quality information and academic and
methodological support of the learning process. SSUGT has the International Center for Education that provides pre-university training for foreign citizens and prepares foreign citizens for admission to PhD and doctoral studies. The Center teaches Russian as a foreign language with subsequent testing and issuance of standard certificates. To enroll in the educational program or at the Preparatory Department at the university, applicants must send their application specifying the preferred mode and duration of study, passport copy and the completed application form to the e-mail address of the International Center for Education (mo.center@ssga.ru).

Scholarships and grants. Students get government-funded scholarships.

Competitive advantages. A combination of classical education with a practice-oriented approach based on the application of state-of-the-art technologies in professional activities. Feedback from the industry. Work placements are undertaken at specialized manufacturing companies, educational institutions, research centers and institutes. International academic exchange geodesy internships are organized with the universities of Mongolia and Kazakhstan. Students having a good command of English or German have an opportunity to undertake work placements in Germany (with partial reimbursement of travel expenses).

Employers and employment. 95% of graduates can be employed in their degree field. Graduates work for government agencies such as the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography, the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia, Roscosmos, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Federal Forestry Agency, the Federal Subsoil Resources Management Agency, the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring; and commercial organizations such as the SCANEX Engineering and Technology Center, Roscartography, SOVZOND Company, Research Institute of Automatic Equipment, Research Institute of Precision Instruments.
