Achievements. In spring 2020, the educational programs in Law offered by the University underwent state accreditation that confirmed their compliance with FSES.
Every year students take an active part and win prizes in contests for the best research paper held by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Federal Bailiff Service Directorate in the RT, other specialized agencies and organizations.
Teaching staff is not only highly qualified and professionally experienced, but they also have rather good research performance indicators. Over 80% of teachers have academic degrees and titles; 90% of the academic staff have education relevant to the disciplines they teach. Judges, investigators, public prosecution officers, including retired ones, practicing lawyers, counselors at law are actively engaged in the educational program development and delivery.
Facilities and resources. All students have continuous access to ELS such as www.iprbooks.ru and www.urait.ru, the Garant information and legal system and electronic textbooks in the ISU VUZ – the learning management system, which is TISBI’s exclusive development. During practical classes, students regularly use Internet services of general jurisdiction courts, commercial courts, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Prosecutor's Office, the Federal Bailiff Service Directorate, the Business Rights Commissioner, the Russian State Register, Consultant+, My Judge, Justice, Legal Judgements, Sudact, etc.
Education. Bachelor students are trained in majors such as Civil and International Law and Criminal Law. The balance of teaching legal theory through fundamental disciplines and legal practice as such (through applied disciplines) is a definite advantage of training. Teachers use innovative and practice-oriented educational technologies: case studies, interactive classes in small groups, business role plays that help students immerse themselves in lawyers' practical activity conditions most closely resembling the reality. Starting from the third year of study, the most active students undertake work placements at the University’s legal clinic that aims to provide free legal assistance to needy citizens and disadvantaged groups.
Graduates can apply for one of the three Master’s programs that will allow them to develop abilities to solve big problems in a particular area of law enforcement activity.
Strategic partners. Relevant ministries and agencies, authorities of internal affairs, prosecutor's office and judicial system, central and local authorities, business entities.
