Accreditation. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020.
Awards and achievements. NCFU is ranked among the Top 100 Russian universities in the National ranking of universities for service.
Teaching staff. The educational program is delivered by the highly qualified teachers at the department – two Doctors and 13 Candidates of Sciences. The employees of service companies and organizations are engaged in the teaching process.
Facilities and resources. There are specialized classrooms and required software. NCFU established a service technology laboratory and a specialized department of business and service technologies.
Education. The specialized department teaches a set of disciplines, including socio-cultural service methods and technology, hotel service and catering, service enterprises management methods and technology, service client diagnostics, service activity management and planning, exhibition business, business planning, and others. Teachers use state-of-the-art educational technologies offering the opportunity to improve the quality and effectiveness of education. The learning process is managed using the resources of the university’s digital educational environment. Students undertake Erasmus+ internships as part of academic mobility programs.
Research. Teachers are actively engaged in research. Every year they take part in grant competitions held by the Russian President, the Russian Science Foundation, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. Students participate in student paper competitions at different levels, research and practice conferences, forums and roundtable discussions, publish articles in scientific journals and edited volumes, participate in student science clubs.
Competitive advantages. A combination of traditional and innovative teaching technologies is a unique feature of the program. Students study psychological aspects of service activity as well as the disciplines aiming to develop organizational and managerial skills.
Employers and employment. Graduates are sought after by service industry enterprises, shopping and entertainment centers, advertising and PR agencies, news agencies, information analysis and regional resource centers, housing and utility enterprises. The strategic partners of the program are ParkHotel Stavropol, Continent, Family Kitchen Restaurant Group, Izba, the non-commercial organization “Association of Resorts and Tourism of the Stavropol Territory.”
