Achievements. The University of Management “TISBI” obtained a certificate of acknowledgement from the State Committee on Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan for active and fruitful cooperation for the benefit of tourism development in the Republic of Tatarstan, and was awarded the diploma in the category “Promoting Tourism Market Development in the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of Tourism Education—2019.”
Teaching staff. The teachers responsible for the learning process are highly qualified, have rather good research performance indicators. The teaching staff includes Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors, Honored Workers of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation as well as leading practicing experts of the sector such as restaurant and hotel business owners.
Education. Students acquire relevant knowledge of service management, various types of services, and of how to build a spotless reputation for any company using service. Starting from the first year of study, students undergo intensive practical training, including hands-on classes, business games, workshops and master classes given by service professionals.
Research is conducted at the faculty under the supervision of highly qualified teachers. Students participate in specialized exhibitions, republican and international conferences, student science decades. Among students are holders of the national award for outstanding
academic and research achievements.
Strategic partners. The department constantly cooperates with over 100 service and tourism organizations of Kazan and the republic. The University has established partnership relations with educational institutions, scientific and international organizations to support academic exchange programs, implement joint projects and give master classes, hold international conferences, forums, and seminars.
International projects and programs. Students of the department are always at the center of social, sports and cultural events such as APEC Russia, Universiade-2013, the 2018 FIFA World Cup, WorldSkills—2019, and many others.
Employers and employment. While studying, students undertake internships at travel companies, sightseeing tour agencies, hotel industry, public catering and entertainment industry enterprises, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the RT, regional ministries
and agencies as well as as part of international student exchange programs, which promotes their subsequent employment.
