Awards and achievements. Participation in the annual regional interuniversity Olympiad on Health and Safety and Occupational Safety – winners in 2006-2021. Participation in the All-Russian Student Olympiad on Ecology and Health and Safety in Irkutsk – the third place (2017). Participation in the All-Russian Olympiad on Health and Safety at Bauman Moscow State Technical University (2019) – the fourth place. Participation in the 7th All-Russian Student Olympiad “Action Students” 2021/2022 in the Occupational Safety category – the first place.

Admission requirements for foreign citizens. Foreign citizens can apply to SSUGT on equal terms with Russian citizens.

Education. Practice-oriented training is provided and projects are implemented in the educational process. Students participate in research projects; state-of-the-art GIS technologies and specialized software products are used.

Scholarships and grants. Students get government-public scholarships. The Department of Technosphere Safety has won the grant from Joint Stock Company Transneft for determining the highest oxygen concentration in the mixture of the nitrogen-oxygen environment with vapors of oil or oil products contained in closed voids of pipelines (in the amount of seven million rubles).

Competitive advantages. Students undertake educational internships at the SSUGT range. Work placements are undertaken at the top enterprises and research institutions in the city and Russia. The university develops the continuing postgraduate education system and delivers continuing professional education programs.

All graduates work for the top organizations and enterprises in the RF, the Siberian Federal District, Novosibirsk and the region, including the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in the Novosibirsk Region, the Autonomous Non-Commercial Association Novosibirsk Occupational Safety Center, Safety Group (Company Group), the Aton-Ecosecurity and Occupation Safety company, V.V. Voevodsky Institute of Chemical Kinetics and Combustion of the Siberian Branch of the RAS, N.N.
