Akram Al Houri, 2021 graduate of MSUT “STANKIN”

I came from Syria where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics. What attracted me to MSUT “STANKIN” were its well-developed automation systems. After completing my Master’s degree, I embarked on a PhD program where I developed the machine servo control system. After completing my PhD degree, I got a job offer from the department. Now I give lectures on automation and supervise graduation projects. I like to share my knowledge and see students put it into practice. I would advise international students to prepare for admission, participate in scientific projects and not to be afraid of difficulties. MSUT “STANKIN”offers great career opportunities.

The Russian language is often perceived as one of the hardest languages to learn. Here are some tips that will help you overcome difficulties and make the learning process more exciting:

  1. Practice the studied topics as often as possible.
  2. Watch Russian movies and series without subtitles. This will not only improve your listening skills but also will immerse you in the atmosphere of the Russian culture.
  3. Listen to Russian music! Sing together with the singers.
  4. Don't be afraid to speak Russian! Communicate with native speakers, participate in language clubs, or make friends to practice the language.
  5. Write about your everyday life or thoughts in Russian.
