I studied at NNSUACE in 2008-2012. This was a great opportunity for me to become a professional in my field. These years definitely were among the best of my life. I am grateful to all the people, including teachers, advisors, employers, and university staff, who supported and helped me on this way.
Now I am 32, I work as a civil engineer. I’ve come back to my home country and work in my degree field. Russia gave me a lot, and I will not forget about it.
Adaptation and accommodation
The university is located in Nizhny Novgorod. This is the sixth most populous million city in Russia, located 450 km from Moscow. Nizhny Novgorod combines all the advantages of a metropolitan city– well-developed infrastructure, plenty of historical and cultural landmarks, a host of attractions, the opportunity to easily get to Moscow (4 hours), Saint Petersburg (6 hours), Kazan (5 hours).
Moreover, prices in Nizhny Novgorod are lower compared to Moscow. The cost of living in Nizhny Novgorod is much lower than in the capital:
- NNGASU dormitory accommodation fee – 18 EUR per month
- Renting a one-room apartment in the city center – 200 EUR per month
- Food prices are average prices in Russia, but lower than in Moscow

I studied at NNGASU in 1993-1998. Many years have passed, but I am still grateful for the opportunity to get an excellent education.
Now I have my own business. I am engaged in wholesale sales of engineering plumbing-I supply everything that is necessary for water supply and heating. I have been working in the markets of Russia and the CIS countries for more than 20 years.
