NArFU is one of the ten Russian federal universities, the largest research and education center in northwestern Russia. With a popular degree, NArFU graduates are successfully employed by major Russian and international companies working in the field of oil and gas extraction, civil engineering, power engineering, and information technology.
NArFU trains specialists in technology, natural sciences, engineering, humanities, economics, and IT. Eight specialized higher schools offer ample opportunities to get a popular profession of the future.

Bachelor’s programs: 195,000 – 285,000 RUB
Master’s programs: 210,000 – 296,000 RUB
PhD programs: 250,000 – 320,000 RUB
Foundation program: 149,000 RUB
5 steps to admission to NArFU
- Choose a degree level and an educational program
- Register in the application form
- Prepare your documents
- Successfully pass your entrance exams (for Bachelor's or PhD degrees) or take part in the portfolio competition (for Master's degrees)
- Pass competitive selection and come to study at NArFU!
Admission of foreign citizens
- Within the Russian Government quota with scholarship support regardless of academic progress. Students to fill the quota are selected by the Rossotrudnichestvo's representative offices/Russian embassies in the applicant's country of residence. They can apply for a scholarship at education-in-russia.
- On equal terms with Russian applicants as part of general competitive selection for state-funded places based on the results of entrance exams (for citizens of CIS countries)
- On a fee-paying (contract) basis if NArFU's internal entrance exams are successfully passed.

- The Olympiad participants get bonus points when applying to NArFU for Bachelor’s/Specialist’s programs

The Olympiad of Federal Universities for Master’s Degree Applicants
The Olympiad winners get the opportunity to enroll in state-funded places at NArFU without entrance exams within the Russian Government quota.
Summer School of the Russian Language and Culture
NArFU offers an intensive Russian language course. Its volume is 46 contact hours (2 ECTS credits).
The school’s curriculum is a combination of grammar, vocabulary, and conversational topics and will help you acquire basic knowledge or improve your Russian proficiency.
As part of the eventful cultural program, you will visit the best museums and cultural attractions in the city of Arkhangelsk and the Arkhangelsk Region.

Target audience: beginners (A1) and advanced learners
The summer school is the best way to get acquainted with Arkhangelsk and enjoy the atmosphere of the Russian North with its picturesque landscapes and rich cultural heritage in the magic season of northern summer nights.

Scholarships
- The First-Year Student 5.0 scholarship for foreign citizens from the CIS countries– 5,000 – 18,000 RUB per month is awarded to those applying for Bachelor’s programs if they have a high total score in the entrance exams or an honors diploma/certificate.
- Academic scholarship: up to 4,500 RUB per month
- Increased scholarship: up to 15,000 RUB per month
Dormitories

- 14 well-furnished dormitories in the center of the city are within walking distance of the university: a kitchen, a shower room, a laundry room, free Wi-Fi, a recreation room, a study room, etc.

Adaptation
All incoming students are met at the airport. During the adaptation period, tutors provide organizational, communication, logistic, information and prevention and psychological support for international students.

Unique NArFU Projects
Digital Arctic IT Park
The IT space for students comprises 15 state-of-the-art virtual laboratories, student startup offices, robot testing grounds, workshops, and hybrid classrooms.
Here, NarFU students implement their projects on machine learning, robotics, big data, and artificial intelligence; develop cloud computing technologies; engage in industrial design and 3D modeling; and participate in cybersport events.
