Entrance exams
Entrance exams are held offline and online in the computer-based test format in general subjects from the list of entrance exams relevant to the chosen field of study.
Additional entrance exams (professional or creativity exams) are held offline only.

- Educational document recognition certificate (if necessary).
All international students are accommodated in the university dormitories.

Center of Social Adaptation and Intercultural Communication
- Events: Orientation Day, mindset workshops, presentations and tours around the campus and city, a series of lectures on the legislative system of the Russian Federation, numerous sports, educational and cultural and leisure activities, including national festivals of various countries
- The International Friendship Club “The World without Borders” that includes the Media Club, the English Language Club “English Tea Party”, a music club, a board game club, a discussion club, a chess club, the dentistry club “Oral care club”, a sports club, a drama club, the Goodwin Volunteer Group, and he Russian Language Club.

Ani Gegamyan, Director of the Center of Social Adaptation and Intercultural Communication
Realizing that social adaptation is a very complicated process, the Center mainly focuses on creating a particularly favorable environment for international students and providing support and care for them. Indeed, successful adaptation facilitates the integration of students into the learning process and the improvement of the quality of their training at the university.
It is important for us to help every international student of our university feel comfortable and happy throughout the entire learning process, discover the diversity and many-sidedness of student life, advance and win.
Laetitia Bouchec, Algeria, a third-year student majoring in Dentistry
My life used to be rather monotonous: studies, home, and studies again... But everything changed when I learned about the Center of Social Adaptation and Intercultural Communication. It was this center that helped me discover a real student world for myself!
Here I met many like-minded people. Moreover, I discovered my new talents. For example, I became a New Year concert hostess, though I used to be afraid to speak publicly. And thanks to the GOODWIN International Volunteer Group I managed to fulfill my dream of helping people and working with children.
It is difficult for me to express all my emotions and gratitude in words. Now I know that there is a place at the university where I am always welcome, where I feel a part of a big family and can live my student life to the fullest.
Zhang Zhifeng (China), a 2003 graduate of Derzhavin TSU.
In 2003, he graduated from Derzhavin TSU with a degree in Law.
In 2005, he defended his PhD thesis at Derzhavin TSU and earned an academic degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.
Today, he holds the following positions in China: Professor at the School of Economics of Qingdao University, Director of the International School of Strategic Economics of Qingdao University, Deputy Secretary General of the Working Committee of the China-SCO Institute of Economy and Trade, and Deputy Chairman of the Qingdao Internal and International Chamber of Commerce.
Wassim Marcella (Algeria), a 2022 graduate of Derzhavin TSU.
In 2022, he completed his PhD studies at Derzhavin TSU in Differential Equations, Dynamical Systems and Optical Control.
At the moment, he is Associate Professor at University of Constantine (Constantine, Algeria) and University of Mustapha Stambouli (Mascara, Algeria) and is responsible for interaction and conclusion of agreements on cooperation with educational institutions in the Russian Federation.
