Free English-taught course “How to enroll in a Russian university”

• The course will familiarize international applicants with the system of admission to Russian universities. It will provide information on all the important steps applicants must take, such as submission of an application form and admission documents, taking exams, getting a visa, and arrival in Russia. Applicants will be able to get detailed information on what and in what order they must do and who they should contact if they have any questions or problems
• The course will help arrange all the admission information and present it in a format that is simple and understandable to international applicants

Pre-Courses Department Programs

• To pursue the programs, students are not required to have basic knowledge of Russian. They acquire Russian at a level required by Russian universities as well as gain new competencies in one of the chosen study areas.
• Russian language, language for science, and three major subjects are compulsory subjects to study as part of the course. A set of subjects is developed based on the chosen study area.
• After students successfully complete the program, they can enroll in general education programs offered by the university.

Preparation of Foreign Citizens for Admission to NR TSU (2,376 hours)

Master of Science in Bioinformatics

As part of the program, students study molecular biology, genomics, and biotechnology as well as mathematics, statistics, programming, and machine learning.

Master’s students will master methods of DNA sequencing, data processing, evaluation and interpretation, and biological molecule function prediction. Students will also get interdisciplinary competencies that will allow them to search for, analyze and find solutions to problems in healthcare, medicine, pharmaceutics, agriculture, and allied areas.

The Agrobiotech Master’s program in Bioinformatics is taught completely in English.

The program manager is Muhammad Amjad Nawaz, senior research fellow at NR TSU, who uses genomics, applied bioinformatics, omics technologies, and molecular markers to improve agricultural crops and increase crop yields.

Graduates of the Master’s program of the School of Advanced Engineering Studies Agrobiotech will be in demand in clinical bioinformatics, precision farming, in silico drug design, genomic data analysis, and other areas of medicine, agriculture and biotechnology.
