Admiral Ushakov Maritime State University is a major water transport university and the only university in the South of Russia that trains marine specialists for shipping companies, shipbuilding and ship repair yards, water transport enterprises, ports, and transport
terminals.
Starting from 2013, the university is annually awarded the Leader of Industry title by the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport.
