Awards and achievements. The program received professional-public accreditation in 2019.
Teaching staff. The teachers have basic and scientific degrees, are highly qualified, participate in grant and scientific research activity.
Research is carried out in two traditional specializations: "History of Ideas and History of Society" and "Documentation Support in the Management System."
Education. The disciplines that take regional specifics into account are included in the educational plan: "Documenting Labor Relations in the Regions of the Far North and Equivalent Localities," "Documenting the Dismissal of an Employee at the Initiative of the Employer," "Workshop on the Development of Office Management Instructions," "Electronic Archives of Historical Documents" which trains the graduates for work activity in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Area (Yugra).
Final qualification works are practice-oriented projects aimed at studying the system of documentation support for institutions and organizations of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Area (Yugra) and developing specific recommendations for its optimization; they are prepared by order from organizations and are successfully implemented in their activities, which is documented.
Active and interactive forms of learning are used: team work — collective activity of the students within a group under the guidance of a leader, aimed at solving a common problem, case study — analysis of real problematic situations and finding best solution options, a roleplay — imitation of real professional activity including performing the functions of specialists at various positions, problem, context and personal learning, experience-based learning.
Strategic partners. The educational plans are developed in close cooperation with representatives of the employers. The professional community is involved in developing and implementing the educational program (teaching disciplines, practical training, guidance of course papers and state final attestation).
International projects and programs. The Department participated in the implementation of Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module "Social Politics of European Union." Participation in an academic teacher exchange program with the Santiago-de-Compostela University (Spain) in a "European Integration in the Focus of Russian Scholars: Historical Background and Contemporary Challenges" (in English) is planned.
