Awards and achievements. The results of the Federal Internet exam for undergraduates: 30% — gold certificates (best 10% in the Russian Federation), 80% — gold, silver and bronze certificates (best 50% in the Russian Federation). Victory in All-Russian youth contest of research projects "Umnik — Digital Oil and Gas." The graduates are winners and laureates of Gazprom student Olympiad, Federal professional skill contest "Praise the Man of Labor!," software developers.
Teaching staff. The percentage of scientific degree holders is 80%. Among them — seven Doctors of Science, 10 Candidates of Science. Specialists from major service and oil and gas production companies are involved in teaching.
Resources. The classrooms are equipped with up-to-date custom software for geology, oil and gas production tasks.
Research. Developing software for geological and geophysical research and oil and gas production processes, developing neural network technologies for solving geological-geophysical tasks, developing smart geoinformation systems.
Education. Professional training in IT and programming, specialized training in geology, geophysics, oil production; practice and certification at oil and gas production companies. State-of-the-art educational models and technologies are used: game, project and research methods of learning, cooperative methods of learning (team and group work).
Strategic partners. Rosneft, LUKOIL, Gazprom, Surgutneftegaz.
International projects and programs. Cooperation in education, practice and internship at international service companies — leaders in technology information system development for oil and gas industry such as Schlumberger, Emerson (Roxar), Halliburton.
