Achievements. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020 and professional-public accreditation carried out by the Association for Engineering Education of Russia in 2017.
Teaching staff. The program is delivered by 13 teachers. All of them have academic degrees of Candidate and Doctor of Sciences. Scientists from Sapienza University of Rome and Dresden University of Technology are invited to give classes.
Facilities and resources. The specialized learning laboratory for data management with state-of-the-art computer equipment. Classrooms for lectures and practical classes are equipped with state-of-the-art technical aids with Internet access, necessary software.
Research. Research areas: mathematical and computer simulation of processes and systems, big data processing, development of methods and technologies of representation, processing and protection of digital visual information, etc.
Strategic partners. The university collaborates with enterprises such as Stilsoft, Energomera (Stavropol). Most of the research is conducted to benefit the North-Caucasus region.
International projects and programs. The university develops the academic mobility of students. Under the agreement between NCFU and Sapienza University of Rome, students have an opportunity to pursue a double degree Master's program (Master's program in Data Management).
Competitive advantages. Students have an opportunity to get an in-demand qualification in informatics and computer engineering. Emphasis is placed on state-of-the-art information technologies, developed by the university's scientific schools and used in the training of competitive Masters who are ready for innovation activity and self-fulfillment in the field of information systems and technologies and capable of solving professional tasks.
Education. Teachers use state-of-the-art teaching methods and strategies, an individual approach to students, development of students' competencies through project activities, a combination of offline learning with the independent study on the NCFU's distance platform, a combination of theoretical instruction with practical activities and internships at scientific and educational organizations.
Assistance and support for international students and teachers. Students from Uzbekistan are enrolled in educational programs in this field. At each stage of learning, NCFU's teacher trainers act as tutors helping international students adapt to the program's specific features.
