Accreditation. State accreditation.
Awards and achievements. The educational program underwent international program accreditation carried out by IAAR. Students are winners and diploma winners of scientific contests such as UMNIK HealthNet, the RosMolodezh All-Russian Project Contest, and the iVolga Youth Forum in the Volga Federal District and are holders of the Russian President Scholarship and the scholarship from the Head of Bashkortostan.
Teaching staff. The teachers are members of professional associations, editorial boards of medical journals, special academic and methodological commissions of the RF Ministry of Health, and dissertation councils and participants of international scientific projects, projects and conferences.
Facilities and resources. Students are trained at specialized institutions of Rospotrebnadzor, including Ufa Research Institute of Occupational Health and Human Ecology and the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology.
Learning outcomes. Students learn how to perform monitoring and oversight functions in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population, in particular, to carry out surveillance on consumer rights protection; take sanitation and epidemic prevention measures to prevent communicable and mass non-communicable diseases (intoxication) and eradicate them, and many other things.
Research is conducted as part of industry-specific and regional programs of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Sciences of Bashkortostan, and Rospotrebnadzor in the field of scientific substantiation of public health risk minimization in Russia; evaluation of reproductive function; aspects of children and adolescents’ physical development. The university participates in the Priority 2030 program. The Digital Department provided retraining (252 hours) in the program “Data Mining in Medicine Based on the R Programming Language.” In 2023, 13 graduates of the Faculty of Preventive Medicine obtained the qualification of big data specialist.
Competitive advantages. Prospective specialists undertake educational internships and work placements at major medical and preventive treatment institutions in Ufa and the republic as well as the Rospotrebnadzor institutions with state-of-the-art diagnostic and laboratory equipment.
Career prospects and employment. The graduate employment rate is 97%. The university’s cooperation with regional specialized enterprises, such as the Directorate of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing in the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, Ufa Research Institute of Occupational Health and Human Ecology, the Republican Disinfection Center, and others, creates the opportunities for students to find a job in their degree field, improve their professional skills, and participate in real projects and R&D.
