Achievements. The educational program is ranked among Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia.
Teaching staff. Training is provided by 20 university subdivisions. 80% of teachers have academic degrees of Doctors and Candidates of Sciences. The degree-granting departments are the Departments of Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, and
Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Facilities and resources. The departments have state-of-the-art laboratory analytical and process equipment. There is a GMP training center equipped with state-of-the-art devices. It is built based on the principle of modular systems (“a room in a room”), with a set of
engineering systems and industrial testing equipment for practical courses and workshops. It comprises a quality control laboratory, clean manufacturing premises of sections of solids, sterile dosage forms, semisolids. The university also has a resource sharing center, a pharmaceutical quality control center.
Education. Classes are conducted offline using digital learning technologies in the electronic information and educational environment.
Research. The faculty conducts toxicology screening, research on new pharmaceutical products, quality control of raw materials and finished products, optimization of current technologies and development of new technologies, methods and techniques for producing
and analyzing pharmaceutical substances and excipients, quality control of raw materials, semifinished and finished products, categorization and certification of products.
Strategic partners. The university cooperates with the analytical laboratory in the Leningrad Region, companies such as BIOCAD, Pfizer, Vertex, Geropharm, Novartis Neva, Pharmproject, Grotex, Medpolymer Firm, Samson Med, Rosbio, Active Component, Pharmsynthez, Akrihin, R-Pharm, Veropharm, Biosynthez, Solopharm, Polysan, Microgen.
The university implements a wide range of innovative educational projects with top international pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer, Novartis, Abbott, Takeda. Students attend educational modules taught by companies’ specialists in the form of lectures, hands-on classes, master classes.
Employers and employment. Among graduates are pharmaceutical industry leaders at different levels, heads of pharmacy chains, pharmaceutical organizations and warehouses, drug promotion specialists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy analysts, staff of analytical,
forensic and chemical, phytochemical laboratories, quality control specialists at pharmaceutical enterprises, medical representatives of pharmaceutical companies.
