Achievements and awards. The programs underwent state accreditation in 2020.

In 2015 they successfully underwent international professional-public accreditation carried out by the National Centre for Public Accreditation.

Teaching staff. The academic degree holders ratio is 85% (10% of teachers have Doctor of Science degrees). In 2019, Tomaž Deželan, the leading professor of the Faculty of Social Sciences of University of Ljubljana, was also engaged in the educational bilingual program implementation.

Facilities and resources. NCFU has all the required facilities and resources that provide a comfortable learning and social environment for students and develop their personal and creative potential.

Research. The promising research areas: theory and methodology of higher professional education, social work with a family and children, quality evaluation of the population’s life, quality evaluation of social services, etc.

Education. The following technologies are actively used: workshops and playing technique, case study, e-learning, interactive research practical training, interactive lectures, etc. Adaptive learning technologies and models are applied to support physically challenged students.

Strategic partners. The department cooperates with the Faculty of Social Sciences of University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), the Department of Social Work of Russian State Social University (Moscow), the Department of Social Work and Rehabilitology of Belarusian State University (Minsk), and the regional social organizations.

Competitive advantages. The advantage is an out-of-class work oriented at students' practices. Since 2012, the department has been traditionally holding seminars with the participation of practitioners of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Stavropol Territory, the Stavropol Territorial All-Russian Organization "All-Russian Society of Disabled People," etc. The Master's program in Social Work (Economics, Law, Organization and Management in Social Work major) is bilingual and its disciplines are taught both in Russian and a foreign language.

Assistance and support for foreign students and teachers. Internationalization of the educational and research process is one of NCFU's top priorities and is a strategically important vector of the university development. NCFU established the Department of International Cooperation.
