Accreditation. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020.
Awards and achievements. The department wins numerous contests and implements the RFBR grants. Students are holders of scholarships from the Russian President, the Russian Government, and the Stavropol Territory Governor. Among the students is the winner of the grant competition of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation scholarship program (2019), the winner of the 21st Russian contest of educational programs and methodological support of training, retraining and advanced training of personnel in municipal management (2021). The department was included in the Top 20 of the National ranking of universities offering programs state and municipal management programs according to the Interfax Agency (2020).
Teaching staff. Training is provided by four Doctors of Sciences and 12 Candidates of Sciences, including two laureates of the Russian Government Award in Education. Many of them have state awards, honorary titles and certificates from the Russian Government, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, regional and municipal authorities.
Facilities and resources. Classrooms are fitted with multimedia and language lab equipment, computers and software. The library has access to the Russian and international electronic library systems, legal and analytical systems.
Education. Classes are conducted offline and online on the BigBlueButton platform and in the LMS Moodle system. Active and interactive teaching methods such as interactive seminars, discussions, computer simulations, business games and role plays, case study are integrated into classes.
Research. The research area “Theory and practice of modern state and municipal management” is implemented through the Russian Science Foundation grants, state and municipal contracts, and self-supporting topics as part of which current management issues are studied.
Competitive advantages. The program receives expert opinions and positive reviews from employers. Government and state officials are actively engaged in the program delivery. Graduates are in high demand in the NCFD’s labor market, and many of them hold senior positions both at municipal and regional government agencies.
Employers and employment. The Stavropol Territory Government, the Stavropol Territory Duma, ministries and agencies of the region, the Stavropol City Administration, administrative authorities of municipal entities and districts, and authorities of the constituent entities of the North-Caucasian Federal District.
