Awards and achievements. The graduates of the program are the managers of companies such as Tyumen Motorostroiteli, Tyumenskiy TSCM. The students get scholarships from the President of the Russian Federation, Government of the Russian Federation, win all-Russian and international contests such as UMNIK, "I am a Professional," "Praise to the Man of Labor!," Worldskills.
Teaching staff. Over 85% of teachers are scientific degree holders. Among them are managers and specialists of the strategic partners of the educational program. The teachers of the Department actively participate in various scientific conferences, are winners of the annual all-Russian contest "Engineer of the Year."
Facilities and resources. 15 laboratories, 4 testing centers fitted with unique equipment — coordinate measuring machine EOSCoord3, Renishaw QC20-W measuring system for checking the accuracy of machine tools.
Research. Metal cutting, cutting tool operability, standardization and product quality management.
Education. Students learn to choose basic and auxiliary materials and ways to implement the main technological processes, to apply progressive methods of operating technological equipment in the manufacturing of engineering products, to apply modern methods for the development of low-waste, energy-saving and environmentally friendly machines, drives, systems, various complexes, engineering technologies that ensure the safety of human life, to provide technical equipment for workplaces with the placement of technological machines, apply standard calculation methods in the design of parts and components of mechanical engineering products, etc.
State-of-the-art digital technologies such as Ascon, SolidWorks, ANSYS, Siemens are used. Virtual laboratory works with the help of Autocad. Additional education programs are implemented, individual research laboratories are offered.
Strategic partners. LUKOIL, Transneft, NK Rosneft, Gazprom Geological Survey, SIBUR Holding, Schlumberger, Tyumen Elektrostal Metallurgical Plant, Tyumenskie motorostroiteli, Tyumenskiy TSSM.
International projects and programs. 68 cooperation agreements are concluded with international academic partners.
Competitive advantages. Financial support of students, such as increased scholarships, grants, etc. Over 90% of the students have practice and get employed at major industrial companies. Dormitories, a gym, a swimming pool, a polyclinic, sports sections and art collectives, student construction brigades, a volunteer movement are available.
