Achievements. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020 and professional-public accreditation carried out by the Association for Engineering Education of Russia in 2017.
Students and teachers are frequent winners of grant (the Russian Foundation for Basic Research) and research (UMNIK, START, Kumir) contests. Two students are undertaking study placement at the University of Leoben (Austria) and the University of the Basque Country as part of the Ge4 program.
Teaching staff. The program is delivered by 60 teachers. Over 76% have academic degrees.
Facilities and resources. Licensed network software AutoCAD, AutoCADLT, Inventor, Mechanical, the authorized center of the Russian company ASCON. There are computer classrooms, laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment: a metal-cutting equipment laboratory, a metrology and instrumentation laboratory, a 3D modeling and prototyping laboratory.
Research. Research areas: surface hardening of machine parts and tools, modernization of CAD systems, the Materials Reliability and Strength Center. As part of the Personnel for the Digital Economy federal project, the Digital Prototyping in Autodesk Inventor Environment program is implemented.
Education. Project-oriented teaching methods are widely used. NCFU created an environment for effective preparation of the university team for participation in WorldSkills championships of cross-industry professions. Integrated graduation theses are done.
Strategic partners. Signal, StIZ Stavropol machine tool works, Excalibur-SK, Montazh, MetallStroyMontazh, Combine Plant Rostselmash, Elektroavtomatika, the Atlant plant, Neptun, Avtokranservis, Energomera, etc.
International projects and projects. To date, the university has 98 bilateral and trilateral agreements with research and education centers of 39 countries. The university implements 27 international agreements with educational institutions of Western Asia.
Competitive advantages. Specialist in Machinery Manufacturing Technologies is listed among the top 50 sought-after professions in the labor market. Students undertake internships at the top machine-building enterprises with subsequent employment.
