Teaching staff. The teaching staff’s activities are aimed at high-quality training of skilled specialists for
Facilities and resources. Students take their classes in computer and multimedia classrooms, have access to electronic resources of online courses and library systems.
Research. The department staff launched the program of building and development of workforce capacity and academic potential of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Area -Yugra in the context of digitization of economics, performed economic justification of the Lean Region concept aimed at improving effectiveness of corporate governance in modern socio-economic conditions, preserving sustainable development of the region and improving the quality of life of the population.
Education. Training is provided in two majors: Marketing in Trade Activity; Merchandising and Expert Examination of Goods. The teachers use state-of-the-art educational technologies including business workshops, master classes and supplementary education programs.
Strategic partners. The university cooperates with the Administration of Nizhnevartovsk, the Fund for Support of Entrepreneurship of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Area - Yugra, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Nizhnevartovsk, the Financial and Legal Center for Business Development, the Center for Education Development of the Nizhnevartovsk District, regional chains of Lyubimy and Optima stores, Sberbank of Russia, VTB Bank, SKB-Bank, and the Samotlorneftegaz oil and gas company, a regional branch of the Rosneft oil company. Cooperation of the department with its partners provides students with practical experience as part of course and graduation project development, research activities and work placements.
International projects and programs. As part of the educational program the department successfully implements two international projects: Jean Monnet Module "Standardization in Product Quality Management: EU Experience and Cooperation Prospects," Jean Monnet Module "Developing Green Skills for Entrepreneurship and Business Based on the EU Experience." The teachers of the department participate in the international project UNISON "University-enterprise cooperation via spin-off companies network."*
