Pirogov RNRMU is a leading medical university in the Russian Federation that trains physicians, pharmacists, clinical psychologists, social workers, and research staff.

Preparatory department
Pirogov RNRMU trains students from foreign countries so that they can pursue higher and postgraduate education at our university or any other Russian university.
The preparatory courses of our university bring together attendees from more than 30 countries every year.
Training is provided on a contract (fee-paying) basis and on a state-funded basis.

Complete course (10 months)
- 1st semester: Russian language (general linguistic course)
- 2nd semester: Russian language (terminology)
Studying the major subjects taught in Russian, such as Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Biology.

Crash course (4 months)
- One semester: Russian language (general linguistic course and terminology)

Students from foreign countries apply for entrance exam preparation courses with prior registration.

- July 17 - September 30 (for the complete course)

The list of documents required for admission of foreign citizens:
- Personal application
- Originals and copies of academic credentials. The academic credentials should be translated into Russian (the translation is notarized in the Russian consulate in the country of residence or in the Russian Federation)
- Medical certificate confirming the absence of medical contraindications to studying in the Russian Federation, including the results of HIV infection, hepatitis С, syphilis, and tuberculosis tests

- F. Gaaz award for foreign citizens pursuing Bachelor’s and Specialist’s programs – starting from the fourth year of study
- A personal award in the amount covering the yearly tuition fee: a 100% discount
- Senior students (from the fourth-year) having a 5.0 grade point average in their record book can be eligible for a discount
- 10% for those who have passed exams with flying colors
