For the fifth year in a row, Rosatom State Corporation has been successfully holding the Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics Olympiad in the Tamil Nadu state where India’s largest nuclear power plant — Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant is under construction with support from Russia.
This unique project motivates Indian young people to study engineering science disciplines, which are important for specializing in nuclear power engineering, and helps identify and encourage talented students.
In 2025, the Olympiad brought together 12,600 students from 90 educational institutions in ten cities of the state.
Six hundred twenty participants, who showed the best results in the preliminary round, qualified for the final. On September 4, the winners were awarded at the Russian House in Chennai.
