In September 2026, North-Caucasus Federal University (NCFU) launched the project “Promotion of the Russian Language and Russian Education in African Countries.” Over a ten-day period ending on September 23, 2026, 30 specialists from African countries, including Mali, Burkina Faso, Namibia, Tanzania, Uganda, Equatorial Guinea, and South Africa, will undertake training in two key areas: “Biotechnologies for ensuring food security and producing functional and personalized food products” and “Methodology for teaching Russian as a foreign language at the beginner level: effective strategies and modern approaches.”
Participants will have the opportunity to master advanced techniques for teaching Russian as a foreign language and to explore innovative developments by Russian experts in biotechnology. Emphasis will be placed on the safety of food raw materials and the development of new food ingredients. The ten-day intensive training program combines theory classes, practical workshops, industry-based seminars, case studies, and cultural immersion tours.

Every year, NCFU conducts courses for Russian language teachers from abroad. Participants include educators from the South Caucasus, Central Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. In agricultural biotechnology and biomedicine, the following programs were conducted for African countries: two programs in agricultural engineering and bioeconomy for industry specialists, educators, and researchers from five African countries, as well as two professional development programs for physicians in the Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
