INRTU Offers a Free Professional Development Program For Foreign Teachers of Russian Language

Every summer, Irkutsk National Research Technical University (INRTU) holds a professional development program for teachers of Russian language. In 2024, more than 30 teachers from Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Indonesia, China and Poland participated in the program. The program lasted for one month in Irkutsk city and allowed Russian language teachers from abroad to study modern methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language as well as to immerse themselves in the ethno-cultural and linguistic environment: to visit museums, monuments of architecture and natural attractions in Irkutsk and the Irkutsk Region, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Lake Baikal. Training and accommodation on the university campus were provided free of charge.

Upon completion of the program, participants were awarded with certificates of professional development.

To participate in the INRTU Summer School in 2025, please apply for the Russian Government Scholarship (quota of Rossotrudnichestvo) beforeJanuary 15, 2025 and choose a program “Russian as a Foreign Language in Higher Engineering School: Content Integration, Digitalization, Assessment”.
