Admission
- Foreign citizens are enrolled in all educational programs delivered by the university.

- Starting from 2022, as part of the Culture and Art Subjects Olympiad, winners and prize-winners from among foreign citizens get the Russian government quota to pursue creative fields of study and majors.

Saint Petersburg is my favorite city. I dreamed of visiting it, and I would never have thought that I would live here. I started searching the web for the best universities for design and architecture, and the University of Industrial Technologies and Design was among the top universities in all the rankings I found.
Preparatory Department

International Student Adaptation Center
The university ensures a comfortable learning and living environment, as well as the adaptation of international students to new cultural traditions.
Jointly with the Adapters program, the Center holds roundtable discussions, organizes the work with other student associations of the university, speaking clubs, tours, and helps students to comply with the requirements of the Russian Federation legislation on migration registration and visa services, and provides assistance in language adaptation.
Students have access to:
- The Laboratory of Virtual Fashion and Digital Design where students and laboratory residents model a digital wardrobe, create avatars and metaworlds for the embodiment of digital developments in virtual reality, and perform production digitalization tasks.
- The Coordinate Modern Design Space. The project has no rival in Russia. Design objects are not only exhibited but also studied with respect to their historical transformations and changes in concepts, approaches and technologies. Exhibits are archived, in digital form in particular.
- In the heart of Saint Petersburg, the university is developing the SmartDesign Digital Industrial Design Cluster. The cluster comprises the Laboratory of Virtual Fashion and Digital Design, the Laboratory of Spatial Design of Physical and Digital Environments, the Laboratory of Digital Art and New Media, the Laboratory of Smart Clothing, the Laboratory of Generative Design, and exhibition areas.
All international full-time students are accommodated in the dormitory for the entire study period.

When I was 16, I realized that I wanted to pursue design. I started looking for a university where I could study design and found PromTechDesign University.
I really like St. Petersburg, its architecture, and even the weather because I love snow.
What I'm passionate about is studying the history of Vietnam and China. Now I'm also reading about Russia. I'm currently creating a game application dedicated to traditional Vietnamese clothing. The game involves players dressing a character in traditional Vietnamese clothing from different periods. Overall, my game will cover 1,000 years of Vietnamese fashion.

I chose Russia because I always wanted to get an education in IT, and Russian IT specialists are renowned worldwide. In the beginning, I felt embarrassed to ask questions during the lectures. It was difficult for me to say what exactly I didn’t understand because I studied Russian in my home country. Nevertheless, after classes, my teachers and fellow students explained to me patiently what we had learned. I couldn’t understand everything even then, but I was pleased that they were sparing me their time. I felt their desire to motivate me to study, and this gave strength to me. I would advise other international students to feel free to ask questions and not to be afraid of making mistakes; otherwise, you will not be able to better yourself.
I study cyberattacks on databases. Every company has its own databases storing important information, including personal data of the site users, and that is why hackers attack them on a regular basis. In general, I am interested not only in how information can be protected but also in how it can be stolen. In the future, I would like to work in this field as a freelancer and hack servers or databases of different companies at their request to test their security.
