Accreditation. State accreditation certificate: series 90А01 №0003565, Reg. №3349 of March 13, 2020 valid till March 13, 2026.

Awards and achievements. The Law program is listed annually among the best educational programs of Russia. The State University of Humanities and Social Studies is ranked among the Top 100 universities according to RAEX, among “The Best Universities of Russia” and is listed on the National Register of “Leading Educational Institutions of Russia.”

Teaching staff. The program is delivered by 22 teachers with 28% holding a Doctor of Science and 69% a Candidate of Science. Practicing professionals from among the senior staff of legal organizations are also involved in the teaching process.

Facilities and resources. Students have access to regularly updated reference legal systems such as Consultant Plus and Garant as well as electronic library systems including Student’s Consultant, Znanium, Urite, etc. The faculty has one of the best forensic laboratories where a wide range of forensic studies can be conducted, a moot court, a trace evidence analysis laboratory, and a media hall.

Education. Much attention is given to the practical training of prospective lawyers. Students of the Faculty of Law have an opportunity to choose a place for their legal practice according to their preferences for future employment. Students can put their knowledge into practice by working at the student legal clinic (the Center for Legal Protection at the university) where they can provide real legal assistance to citizens of Kolomna.

Research. As part of the program, students prepare their course papers from their first year of study. Students also take part in the annual All-Russian student conference “Youth Forum: Legal Sciences” as well as in the activities of the student research society and science clubs.

Competitive advantages. As part of the program, the faculty implements the practice-oriented educational project “Lawyer’s SoftSkills” aimed at developing public speaking skills, IT skills, consulting and paperwork skills. The project helps to develop the student’s
self-development program based on the principle of lifelong learning.

Employers and employment. More than 80% of graduates are employed in their area of specialization. Graduates of the program include federal judges, justices of the peace, heads of municipal entities of the Moscow Region, public notaries, defense lawyers, prosecutor’s office staff, interior ministry members and legal counsels.
