Achievements and awards. This educational program has successfully undergone state accreditation and was listed many times among the Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia. As part of the program the project "Next Generation Social Care Teacher and Educational Psychologist" was supported by the Presidential Grants Foundation, and the students and teachers became laureates of the III International contest of students, postgraduate students, Master's students in the Professional Focused Competencies category.

Teaching staff. Training is provided by the highly qualified teachers holding postgraduate academic degrees and titles as well as visiting specialists: the Corresponding Member of the RussianAcademy of Education, winners and participants of the all-Russian and regional contest "Social Care Teacher." The faculty established two scientific schools: Psy­chology of Spirituality and I.P.BashkatovSchool.

Facilities and resources. Facilities and resources of the university comply with the strictest requirements.

Research. The most promising research areas include: psychosocial prevention of extremism and terrorism in adolescents and youths; psychosocial design of a safe learning environment; gender transformations in contemporary society; xenophobia risk management and development of tolerant attitudes; psychological and pedagogical support for social inclusion; networking of caring profession members as a resource for professional and personal development of a social care teacher; social resilience of Russian young people as the most important area of strategic interest.

Education. The teachers use state-of-the-art educational models and strategies: problem-based and interactive learning, business games and role plays, workshops, project activities, various types of lectures and seminars, case methods.

Strategic partners. The university cooperates with the Institute of Psychology of the RussianAcademy of Sciences, the Psychological Institute of the RussianAcademy of Education, the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, YerevanStateUniversity, Faculty of Psychology of St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgaria).

International programs and projects. As part of this program the following international scientific projects are implemented: "Spiritual and Moral Education in the System of Training of State and Municipal Attendees" (Armenia), "Spiritual and Moral Education of Young Students" (Bulgaria, Serbia), "Development of Young People's Social Immunity" (Belarus).
