Awards and achievements. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020. NCFU is the winner of the contest for conducting fundamental research (2020). The NCFU representative is the winner of the open international contest "Researcher of the Year-2020" (IARC).
Teaching staff. The program is delivered by 31 teachers. Over 20% have academic degrees of Doctor of Sciences.
Facilities and resources meet the requirements for the delivery of Master's programs determined by NCFU's educational standards.
Research is conducted in the field of psychological and educational support and rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.
Education. Teachers use problem-based lectures, seminar studies, project methods of teaching, workshops, collaborative learning (team and group work), distance learning technologies, etc.
Strategic partners. The department's Russian partners are Southern Federal University, V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University, the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov.
International projects and programs. The university maintains scientific cooperation with the University of Manitoba (Canada). The teachers undertook internships at Ariel University, Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel), Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Germany).
Competitive advantages. The teaching staff is highly qualified. The university cooperates and shares its experience with top Russian and foreign organizations in the field of education of physically challenged people, offers practice-oriented education, develops cooperation with employers engaging them in the teaching process. Graduates are sought after by educational, social protection and healthcare institutions of the Stavropol Territory: pre-school educational institutions and schools, outpatient clinics, children's developmental centers, rehabilitation centers.
