Programme presentation. The University delivers education and training of specialists for design and research institutions and industrial organizations related to the development, production and use of explosive materials. Students are trained in a unique specialization “Explosive Technologies and Disposal of Ammunition” and can work in both defense and civil industries. To prepare students for effective professional activity, the educational programmes are revised in compliance with the most up-to-date global scientific trends and the requirements of employers. Future specialists are actively involved in research projects, which are performed at the Major Department within the federal target programmes and on the orders of industrial enterprises and organizations.
The educational process is implemented using a unique object of science infrastructure – “Roshcha” research complex, which allows conducting laboratory classes with the use of energy materials and products and doing special research at a global level. The complex is included in the federal list of unique stand units.
Teaching staff. Education and training are carried out by experienced specialists, who constantly develop their professional qualification. Teachers perform research and development activities and take part in national and international research and technical conferences.
The teachers of the Department are members of the working group of the scientific and technical council of the Military-Industrial Commission under the Government of the RF and members of the dissertation councils, which are included in the Federal Register of Experts in Scientific and Technical Sphere.
Interaction with employers. Cooperation with employers is maintained through joint development of the curricula and working programmes, organization of work experience and pre-degree practice, review of graduation projects and performing research, development and technological activities.
