Teaching staff. The percentage of scientific degree holders is 97, including seven Doctors of Science. Representatives of practical healthcare and medical engineering service centers are involved in teaching.

Facilities and resources. Laboratory of biomedical electronics, laboratory of printed circuit board modeling and design, laboratory of computer tomography with a real model of a PHILIPS MX 8000 DUAL CT scanner.

Training laboratory modules: "Digital elements of computing and information-measuring equipment" and "Design of digital devices." Training laboratory kits "Fault detection and correction" and "Methods of measurement and digital processing of biomedical signals."

Unique equipment and a state-of-the-art instrument base by National Instruments (USA), NI Elvis II interactive training stations and NI Digital Electronics debugging boards FPGA Board running LabVIEW software.

Research. Modeling, projecting and development of bioengineering systems and technologies in various branches of medicine at the junction of biology, computer technologies and materials science, development of devices, systems and complexes for biomedical and environmental purposes, development of methods and technologies for medical and ergonomic research, development of automated systems for processing biomedical information, design of bioengineering control systems, development of bioengineering systems for human life support, design of bioengineering systems and technologies for healthcare.

Education. An international educational model CDIO is implemented. Project activity is studied from the 1st to the 4th year of studies.

Students participate in workshops by leading international professors at the Federal Center for Neurosurgery of The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Tyumen), Tyumen Cardiology Research Center, a branch of Tomsk National Research Medicine Center of Russian Academy of Science, "Meditsinskiy Gorod" Medicine Center, "Neftyanik" Medical-Sanitary Institution, Regional Clinical Hospitals #1 and #2, EDS Group, Medintell, Alfapolymed, Tyumen Prenatal Center.
