Awards and achievements. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020. Students are participants of the annual UMNIK contest and winners of the Klyuchavto scholarship program.
In 2020 NCFU established the specialized department of automobile engineering and technology in cooperation with SBSV-KLYUCHAVTO Stavropol.
Teaching staff. The program is delivered by 50 teachers. Over 70% of them have academic degrees of Candidate or Doctor of Sciences.
Facilities and resources. State-of-the-art information technology training aids, specialized laboratories with required modern benches and other equipment for laboratory works in all disciplines of the program.
Research. The department conducts research in the following areas: road traffic engineering and improvement; diagnostic systems for assessing technical condition of transport; reliability on transport; research on wear resistance in abrasive environments of various materials, operating elements of machines, interface parts, equipment components.
Education. Electronic educational resources and elements of distance learning education technologies are actively used.
The program is aimed at practice-oriented training. Students have an opportunity to do integrated graduation theses on requests of the industrial enterprises in cooperation with students pursuing other educational programs.
Strategic partners. The Avtokranservis industrial equipment supplier, the Avtotekhtsentr auto service center, the Stavropol Municipal Unitary Trolleybus Enterprise, Arsenal Station, Dvaris Motors, Mercedes-Benz KLYUCHAVTO Stavropol, KIA KLYUCHAVTO Stavropol, etc.
International projects and programs. As a member of the International Association for Automotive and Road Engineering Education, the department provides assistance to international students in Russia, career guidance for foreign citizens to study at NCFU, takes part in all-Russian and international conferences on training motor transport specialists.
Competitive advantages. Students undertake internships at the top regional motor transport enterprises. They have an opportunity to pursue continuing education programs: Engine Transport Vehicle Engineering Control and Diagnostics Expert; Transport Logistics; Car Technical Condition Inspector.
Assistance and support for foreign students and teachers. Internationalization of the educational and research process is one of NCFU's top priorities and is a strategically important vector of university development. NCFU has the International Cooperation Department.
