Achievements. Students win scientific and professional contests at different levels, get personal scholarships for outstanding academic and research achievements. Graduates are successful and sought-after in the job market.
Teaching staff is highly qualified, has good international research performance indicators and required practical experience. The educational process involves practitioners with a long record of service and prospective employers such as practicing educational psychologists, heads of centers for psychological counseling and public organizations, social teachers, and experienced teachers and psychologists at kindergartens and schools.
Education. The program is aimed at training competitive educational psychologists with professional excellence. The program is delivered from the perspective of a competency-based approach. The latest developments in Russian and foreign science in psychological and pedagogical education are used in the learning process. Students are engaged in a wide range of social and cultural practices as professional and personal enhancement tools. Students actively use the resources of the Psychosocial Support Center of the University
of Management “TISBI,” the Republican Interuniversity Center for Work with People with Disabilities, established at the university, the laboratory of psychological and pedagogical technologies, the simulation laboratory “Psychologist’s Room.” The program is adapted for
students with disabilities, It comprises adaptive educational programs and modules. To deliver them, the university created an accessible learning environment, developed a unique concept of tutor support for students with disabilities from their fellow students. The program provides for individual curricula and schedules of training handicapped people and people with disabilities. The department maintains active cooperation with the Republican Interuniversity Center for Work with People with Disabilities, which allows students with disabilities not only to succeed in earning a degree but also adapt to society.
Research. The department is actively engaged in research conducted under the supervision of highly qualified teachers. The department actively cooperates with Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Volga Region Institute for Gestalt Therapy, and other universities.
Employers and employment. The Podrostok Association of Local Adolescent Clubs, the Rostok Center for Psychological and Pedagogical Rehabilitation and Correction, the Navigator Republican Center for Youth, Innovation and Prevention Programs, the Municipal
Budgetary Institution of Youth Policy of Kazan “Social and Rehabilitation Center for Children and Adolescents with Deviant Behavior “Duslyk,” Kazan Trade and Economics College, P.V.Dementyev Kazan Aviation Technical College, E.G. Lastochkina Kazan Boarding School for Children with Disabilities (with Hearing Impairment), M.I. Makhmutov Comprehensive Secondary School with In-Depth Study of Some Disciplines № 184, Comprehensive Secondary School № 55 with In-Depth Study of Some Disciplines, and others – more than 50 educational organizations in the Republic of Tatarstan.
