Achievements. The educational program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020. Every year teachers participate in grant competitions held by the Russian President, the Russian Science Foundation, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.
Teaching staff. The educational program is delivered by highly qualified teachers of the department – three Doctors and 20 Candidates of Sciences. Employees of enterprises and organizations of the service industry are engaged in the teaching process.
Facilities and resources. There are specialized classrooms and necessary software. NCFU established a service technology laboratory and a specialized department of business and service technologies.
Research. The department focuses on developing and realizing students' research potential. The key areas of student research are the participation in contests of student papers at different levels; organization and participation in student research and practice conferences, forums and round table discussions and; publication of student papers in scientific journals and edited volumes; participation in student scientific circles.
Education. Teachers use state-of-the-art educational technologies offering an opportunity to improve the quality and effectiveness of education. The specialized department teaches a set of disciplines, including socio-cultural service technology, hotel service and catering, service enterprise management methods and technology, service client diagnostic, service activity management and planning, exhibition business, business planning, etc. Graduates are sought after by service industry enterprises, shopping and entertainment centers, advertising and PR agencies, news agencies, information and analysis and regional resource centers, housing and utility enterprises.
Strategic partners. Park Hotel Stavropol, Continent, the Kitchen Family restaurant group, Izba, non-commercial organization "Association of Resorts and Tourism of the Stavropol Territory."
International projects and programs. Students undertake internships at universities in Italy, Portugal, Germany as part of the Erasmus+ academic mobility program.
Competitive advantages. A unique feature of the program is a combination of traditional and innovative teaching technologies. Students study psychological aspects of service activity, as well as disciplines aimed to develop managerial skills.
